The month of December 2017 is here, and the winter season of giving continues to provide a blizzard of cool new games. The weeks ahead will see many gamers gather with loved ones for the holidays, and likely annihilate each other in multiplayer competition with the likes of Battlefield 1‘s Turning Tides DLC, Destiny 2‘s Curse of Osiris expansion, and Star Wars Battlefront II‘s The Last Jedi content.

The ultimate theme for December 2017 seems to be Bethesda, as the developer has several spin-offs headed to the top of most players’ wish lists. The ultra-gory shoot-em-up Doom VFR and the post-apocalyptic Fallout 4 VR will bring proceedings into an immersive new dimension, while Wolfenstein II will debut its next story add-on The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe. Tying these franchises together will be Zen Studios’ full tilt throwback Bethesda Pinball.

Other notable names headed down the chimney in December 2017 is Final Fantasy XV‘s new ‘Comrades‘ and ‘Episode Ignis‘ expansions, as well as the gorgeous adventure title Okami HD finally arriving on modern platforms. If Telltale is your bag, the entire Walking Dead game series will also be made available in a single-package collection.
