Amazon Fallout TV Series Unveils Live-Action First Look

Amazon Fallout TV Series

The film and TV industry seem to be full of video game-related projects lately, with many of these projects being steeped in the world of streaming services. Netflix has already seen big results from adapting properties like Cuphead and Castlevania to series for its platform, and now rival streaming services are following suit. HBO Max has a big The Last of Us series in the works, and Prime Video has been promising an ambitious adaptation of the Fallout video games. After working on it for more than a year, Amazon has released the first official image from the Amazon Fallout TV series.

Amazon and Kilter Films recently released the first official image from the Amazon Fallout TV series on their official Twitter accounts. The post was made to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise, with the first game having released back in 1997. For the occasion, Amazon and Kilter deemed it fitting to release the first official image from the upcoming live-action TV series. The image shows several vault suit-wearing inhabitants of Vault 33, with the cog-shaped vault door opening to reveal a visitor from the outside.

Eagle-eyed fans might also notice the faint details of the silhouetted vault visitor’s form. The vault-wearer appears to have a holster on their left-hand side, and a Pip-Boy computer on their wrist. Diehard fans have pointed out this orientation is actually the opposite of the games’ norms, though it is possible that this particular wearer is left-handed. The Amazon Fallout TV series is set to star Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, and Kyle McLachlan. No set release date for the project is yet known, but hopefully, this image helps fans feel calmer knowing these iconic elements from the game survived the nuclear apocalypse.
