The start of September is now upon us, and while that signals the end of summer, it also means the yearly war for our wallets is nearly underway. Ringing in the upcoming Fall season, September 2018 will present gamers with several of the year’s most anticipated releases, the biggest being Marvel’s web-slinging Spider-Man, the apocalypse-stopping exploration of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and the emotional sibling road adventure Life is Strange 2.

Blockbusters are surely on top, but Nintendo may have the most to offer as the publisher is touting many big releases in the nearing weeks. Not only are anticipated ports such as Undertale and Dragon Ball FighterZ hitting the Switch, but original title Dragalia Lost is also furthering the company’s presence in mobile gaming. Big N also keeps the hype happening in September 2018 with the new Labo Vehicle Kit and the advent of the hybrid system’s long-awaited online service.

New titles aren’t the only ones in the spotlight either, as a few sizable expansions are headed the way of well-established favorites. Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion is doling out all the vengeance, Rainbow Six Siege debuts new Operators in Operation Grim Sky, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is going back in time in the Torna: The Golden Country DLC, and PUBG is bringing plenty of party favors for the battle royale’s 1.0 release on Xbox One.
