December 2020: All Games And DLC Releasing This Month (VIDEO)
December 2020 is now upon us and the merry month ahead promises no shortage of seasonal celebrations and extended gaming goodness ahead of the coming new year. One month out from the introduction of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X (and Series S), quite the bevy of releases currently aim to satisfy the new-gen itch, including the immensely anticipated debut of Cyberpunk 2077, Ubisoft’s colorful fantasy epic Immortals Fenyx Rising, and the remastered return of Sam & Max Save the World.
While last month’s big-budget debuts are behind us, the next 30 days nonetheless hold some hype-worthy titles, including cosmic survival story Haven, Prohibition-era strategy game Empire of Sin, and the endlessly vibrant puzzler Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. The VR release of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is sure to be interesting, as are the long-brewing appearances of the first Fire Emblem game and DOOM Eternal for Nintendo Switch. That’s not to mention all the month’s various next-gen updates for titles such as Destiny 2 and Rainbow Six Siege.
December surely has a solid lineup of game releases, but several pieces of downloadable content may prove to shine a bit brighter with such expansions as GTA Online’s loot-heavy Cayo Perico Heist, a horrific double-header for Dead by Daylight, and Kate Bishop’s eagle-eyed arrival in Marvel’s Avengers. The big “Black Ops Cold War” update for Call of Duty: Warzone has also proven to be a big source of excitement alongside the festive Toy Day proceedings of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the color-inclusive next update for The Sims 4.
Of course, December 2020 has even more games and DLC where that came from. The month ahead is packed with numerous notable releases, all of which can be viewed in the list below.
