Watch Dogs: Legion Support Ending After 15 Months

Watch Dogs: Legion

Watch Dogs: Legion was released back in the Fall of 2020, but has continued to provide a steady stream of new content for players to engage with. From DLC bringing the OG hacker of the series, Aiden Pierce back into the fray to more bizarre content like the addition of a zombie-based game mode called “Legion of the Dead” fans have had plenty to work with as time has gone on. Sadly, all things come to an end and the developers of the title are shutting the doors on support for the Watch Dogs: Legion, at least in terms of major updates.

A recent blog post was made revealing that the Title Update 5.6 would be the last that players will see from the developers, and Season 5 will be the last of the reward tracks players will be able to see new content from. After that, Seasons 3-5 will repeat themselves, allowing players to earn various rewards they may have previously missed. These include a modified version of Aiden Pierce’s trenchcoat as well as the attire of his nephew Jackson, who dons a DedSec mask in Watch Dogs: Legion.

The team also took the time to thank players for all their support over the last year, from simply playing the game to providing feedback for the developers to use in improving the title. It’s a little disappointing for support to be coming to an end, but there’s plenty around for players to engage with regardless. The online modes will still be active within the game, but it would seem that it’s time for the developers to move on to other projects. Perhaps this could mean plans for a future game are beginning to take shape.

Watch Dogs: Legion is currently available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Have you enjoyed your time with the latest entry in the stealth hacker adventure?
