Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Devs Promise Fans They Are Making the “Exact Game We Want to Make”

Call of Duty

The upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is setting itself apart from its predecessors in some big ways, with branching dialogue, dark moral choices, and a change of pace from the fast-paced action by bringing a more slow-paced, tactical approach to encounters. Studio head of Sledgehammer Games, Michael Condrey, mentioned in a recent interview that Activision is aiming to play upon the already dark and controversial nature of the title in order to make headlines, however, a new Tweet from Infinity Ward suggests that this might not be the case.

The developers of the upcoming Modern Warfare title mentioned in the past that they were tweaking some of the various dialogue choices within the game, balancing out the weight of the player’s decisions while still making the game fun to play. It’s reasonable to see the game be more controversial because of this, however that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what the developers are pushing for. Regardless of how the company is choosing to develop or the direction the publisher may want to push the game, Infinity Ward made it clear in a recent Tweet that they are making the “exact game” that they want.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to arrive on October 25th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It’ll be interesting to see just what the team has planned for the darker and more gritty Modern Warfare title. The team seems to be bringing some cool things from previous titles in the series as well as entirely new content for players to enjoy.
