Monster Hunter World: Iceborne x Resident Evil 2 Collaboration Revealed (VIDEO)
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is set to bring a ferocious new beast in its next big update, but it appears there’s even more for fans to look forward to in the coming weeks. Capcom has now revealed yet another collaboration event coming to the expansive action RPG, seeing the survival-horror title Resident Evil 2 cross with Iceborne in an all-new announcement trailer.
In the debuting footage, we see the likes of Leon and Claire investigating and confronting several of the game’s massive beasts and even a scene replicating the pair’s classic “don’t shoot” exchange from RE2. However, things only get scarier with the introduction of undead zombies to the proceedings, a feat further topped with the especially bizarre presence of Mr. X as the crossover’s new Handler skin. Check out the reveal trailer below.
Outside this official trailer, not much else was unveiled about Monster Hunter World’s Resident Evil collaboration. However, there is a tentative launch window set for sometime in November. While this is the first time that RE2 has crossed paths with Monster Hunter World, it’s hardly the game’s only crossover, having already collaborated with the likes of The Witcher, Devil May Cry, and Horizon Zero Dawn in the past. Of course, that’s not to mention the many unofficial crossovers made available through fan mods.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
