Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Port Confirmed, Arriving Next Month

It looks like the inevitable has finally come to pass, as Rockstar Games has announced that a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port is officially on its way, arriving early this November. Announced in a new post over on the publisher’s website, Rockstar broke the news alongside a bevy of information that essentially translates to them wanting you to purchase the port through the new Rockstar Games Launcher, because that’s how you’ll get the most free stuff.

According to Rockstar, the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port will feature a range of “graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion,” along with new weapons, Gang Hideouts, Bounty Hunting Missions, and more. The publisher laid out a list of pre-purchase bonuses for those that do so through the Rockstar Games Launcher. Pre-purchasing through the launcher will include free upgrades to the Premium Editions of RDR2, and will also discount both the Special Edition and Ultimate Edition of the game by $20 each. Here’s the list of in-game pre-purchase bonuses:

  • Outlaw Survival Kit for Story Mode
  • War Horse for Story Mode
  • Treasure Map for Story Mode
  • Cash Bonus for Story Mode
  • 50 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online

That’s not all, either, because those that pre-order RDR2 for PC through the Rockstar Games Launcher starting on October 9th and running through October 22nd will be able to select two additional games to download for free from the following list:

  • Grand Theft Auto III
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
  • Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition

Please not that those that download the Rockstar Games Launcher by October 8th and login with their Social Club login will get GTA: San Andreas for free, so those interested in the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port may as well do so by the 8th to narrow down the amount of free games they’ll need to choose from. Those that want absolutely nothing to do with the launcher will be glad to know that the PC port will also be available to pre-order through the Epic Games store, the Humble Store, GameStop, and other participating digital retailers starting on October 23rd, with a pre-order bonus of 25 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online. The port will also be available to purchase on Steam this December.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port releases through the Rockstar Games Launcher on November 5th, 2019.
