Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Getting Horizon: Zero Dawn Crossover (VIDEO)

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Getting Horizon: Zero Dawn Crossover (VIDEO)

In the early days just after launch of Monster Hunter World, players from the PlayStation 4 platform were granted an exclusive questline that ultimately led to them being able to obtain armor and weapons that transformed them into Aloy, the main protagonist of Horizon: Zero Dawn as well as some items themed around the game for their Palico companion. Now it seems that there will be a second crossover between the Frozen Wilds expansion of Horizon: Zero Dawn and the upcoming Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World.

A new trailer has arrived showing off Aloy as she appeared in the Frozen Wilds DLC, indicating that players will have a chance to equip the wintry armor for themselves alongside a new weapon that appears to be a sort of Heavy Bowgun. How players will be acquiring the new armor sets is unclear and the perks that will be arriving on the set wasn’t mentioned. As with the previous crossover, the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne meets Frozen Wilds will be a PlayStation exclusive, so players on the PC and Xbox One are sadly not going to be able to join in on the action.

Monster Hunter World is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The Iceborne expansion is set to release on September 6th though players on the Steam version of the game will need to wait until January of next year.
