The Witcher Netflix Series Photos Highlights Geralt Of Rivia’s Sword

Geralt’s Sword

With The Witcher 3 having released all of its content, Witcher fans have been looking forward to the upcoming Witcher Netflix series for more adventures with Geralt. The new series, while choosing to adapt from the novels rather than the games, will have plenty of familiar elements and characters from Geralt’s world. Combined with gorgeous Eastern European locations, and fans can expect a high-quality, riveting story based on The Witcher. Geralt of Rivia is well known for his prowess with weaponry, and new photos from the Netflix series have Geralt’s sword proudly displayed for all to see.

Redanian Intelligence has provided several leaks and updates on the upcoming Witcher Netflix series in the past, and their newest update consists of photos that provide a better look at Geralt’s sword. The new photo shows Henry Cavill as Geralt brandishing a sword, which appears to be the same sword he is seen fighting with in the trailer released earlier this year. Many have noticed though, that Geralt has only been seen equipping one sword like he is here, and not two.

This Witcher 3 Mod Makes Geralt Heckin' Gorgeous

Some gamers have been wondering if Geralt will carry two swords, as he does in the game. Of these two swords, one in the game was always a steel sword, while the other was made of silver. Some have pointed out online that in the novels, Geralt normally only carried the steel sword (which the photo appears to be), while he kept the silver sword stored elsewhere and only used for special purposes like fighting monsters. Considering that this series means to pull inspiration more from the novels, this might be a good visual reminder of that decision. And hey, that means one less sword for Geralt to take off, meaning he’ll get to the bathtub faster now.
