“Devastating” New Combat Abilities Promised for Destiny 2 – “There Will Be a Ton of Loot”

New Combat Abilities

Players are hungry creatures constantly hunting for any information about upcoming titles they can find. Developers usually take one of two paths with curious fans. One is never giving out any information, only vague reassurances that project is going well or not wanting to release information until they have something worth showing, for example CD Projekt Red’s approach to Cyberpunk 2077. On the other hand, maybe developers can choose to be more like Bungie and the upcoming Destiny 2 game, feeding the fan-base with a multitude of teasers, clues, and hints. A new tweet on Destiny’s Twitter account is no exception, and begs players to question what kind of new combat abilities, worlds, and weapons, they can expect to find:

How will Destiny 2 incorporate these new skills and “devastating” new combat abilities? Players will be speculating for another week, when a major gameplay reveal is set to release. One theory about Destiny 2 suggests that the gameplay will attempt to do away with the subclass focused system in favor of a more freeform RPG experience. This would include an expansive skill tree or possibly even multiple trees, all the while maintaining the basic combat such as grenades, melees, jumps, and more. Whatever the case may be, fans questions will be laid to rest soon when Bungie will be having a livestream event on Twitch to show off gameplay on May 18th.

New Combat Abilities

Destiny 2 is set to release September 8th, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and – for the first time – it will also be released on PC. Do you have a ticket for the Destiny 2 hype train?
