Destiny 2: Beyond Light To Introduce A Dark New Enemy
The next expansion for Destiny 2, Beyond Light, is set to bring a lot of insanely cool new stuff for players to interact with including new weapons and armor, new stories, and raids. The game is also set to finally introduce a new set of subclasses and abilities that take a bit of influence from the Darkness of all things. Guardians will need all the firepower they can get, though, as the new content is also set to bring about new enemies hungry for revenge and power.
A recent livestream from Bungie revealed quite a few new details about the next major battle in the war between the light and the darkness. According to the developer, it appears that a figure that has been around since the OG Destiny days is making a play to embrace the Darkness and reunite the Fallen houses into a grand empire. Serving as the main antagonist of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Eramis, the Shipstealer has been mentioned several times through Destiny’s history as a notorious baroness and a major threat for Fallen reunification.
With the villain planning to harness the power of the Darkness directly from the game’s mysterious pyramid ships, players are sure to be in for a tough fight. Bungie didn’t mention what shape this new threat might take but it wouldn’t be surprising to see a new type of Fallen making an appearance when Destiny 2: Beyond Light makes its release.
Destiny 2 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with the Beyond Light expansion looking to release on September 22nd of this year. The content will also be readily available on next-gen consoles, with players being able to upgrade their current-gen copies for free. Are you prepared to see what’s in store in Beyond Light?
