Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Merch Brings The Theme Park To Target

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge

The coronavirus pandemic has greatly shaken many industries, and one of the most affected areas of commerce has been tourism and theme parks. For most of this year so far, the biggest American theme parks like Universal Studios remained closed to prevent major outbreaks of COVID-19. Naturally, this affected the Disney theme parks, Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and by extension, the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge expansion.

That attraction is fairly new to the parks, and saddened many that their plans to see it this year have had to be cancelled. To help ease this blow, a new line of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge merchandise is now available at Target stores.

Lucasfilm recently unveiled the new line of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge merchandise on the official Star Wars website. These new items themed after characters and elements from the Galaxy’s Edge theme park are now available exclusively at Target retail stores and the Target website. Some of the exclusive characters include DJ-R3X and Captain Cardinal, both of whom now have Black Series figures thanks to this line. Hasbro also has provided a new remote-controlled Hyperdrive BB Unit.

Funko also provides a new red R5 unit Funko Pop figure. LEGO has created a new set for the Resistance I-TS Transport, which includes Lieutenant Bek and Astromech droid minifigures, unique characters seen only in the Rise of the Resistance Ride. This set also includes a Vi Moradi minifigure, who is a walkaround character that fans can interact with in Galaxy’s Edge. Perhaps the biggest new addition is the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge version of the Millennium Falcon, which includes Chewbacca and Hondo Ohnaka action figures. These items really capture the elements only found at Galaxy’s Edge, and hopefully they provide some catharsis to fans while they wait for A New Hope to save us from our current situation.
