Disneyland's Star Wars Expansion Will Feature Cantina With Alcoholic Drinks

Disneyland has always been thought of as a wholesome, family friendly place. As such, drinking alcoholic beverages on the grounds has always been strictly forbidden, with the exception of the invite-only Club 33, tucked away in New Orleans Square. That is, until now. Pretty soon, Disneyland will have its very own hive of scum and villainy when its Star Wars expansion ‘Galaxy’s Edge’ opens up in 2019.

Announced in a recent blog post over on the Disney Parks website, ‘Oga’s Cantina’ will act as a smuggler’s home away from home, with plenty of tasty alcoholic beverages for adults and non-alcoholic options for kids. “Oga’s Cantina is the kind of establishment that attracts some of the most interesting and disreputable characters in the galaxy,” the Disney blog post reads.

And you never know when a stormtrooper or a familiar face will show up. Patrons of the cantina come from across the galaxy to sample the famous concoctions created with exotic ingredients using “otherworldly” methods, served in unique vessels. With choices for kids and libations for adults, the cantina will make for a great stop!”

Based on the description, it sounds as if plenty of popular Star Wars characters on both sides of the force will likely show up in Oga’s Cantina from time to time, making this a hot spot not even a stormtrooper would want to miss. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be available in Disneyland at some point in 2019.
