Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Will Not be a Week After Destiny 2 (VIDEO)
Post launch of a teaser trailer last Fall, Red Dead Redemption 2 has fallen out of the public eye for some time. Rockstar has released little information regarding the western sequel, and in place of official news, fans have begun the search for any and all tidbits they can find to speculate on their own, namely the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date. Latest of these rumors comes from a video featuring Brandon Jones, Editor in Chief of EasyAllies, mentionimg RDR2 would be releasing the week after Destiny 2 comes out.
The video above was a talk on the impressions Brandon Jones and his co-host Michael Huber had on Destiny 2 from the gameplay reveal last week. Towards the end of the video, around the 15:24 minute mark, Jones casually mentions that Destiny 2 would be releasing a week before the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date :
I still don’t know how much time I’m really going to have to; I mean this comes out the week before Red Dead…”
Later after realizing the error Jones took to his personal Twitter account to apologize, saying that it was simply a guess as to when Red Dead would release as well as stating that it had nothing to do with being a judge for E3 in any way.
Somehow my brain put RDR in mid-September. Totally made that up, it seems. This is not based on anything Judge-related. Just a guess.

While it’s entirely possible that Jones made an honest mistake, fans are quick to point out that the conversation between Jones and Huber was very casual. There was no indication for Huber that anything had been said out of turn or came as a surprise. This has caused some speculation that former rumors and leaks about the release date may be fairly accurate, most of which indicate a late September to early October time frame. Rockstar has been very quiet on the subject of a release date, but perhaps there will be more info during E3 this year.
