New Crash Bandicoot Game Leaked For Mobile Devices

The Crash Bandicoot franchise has seen a resurgence in recent years with the N. Sane Trilogy remake back in 2017 and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled arriving just last year. Both were excellent recreations of classic Crash games but it might be even more exciting to see something entirely new from the franchise. Thankfully, it seems that there’s more to come, though not the way many fans might have expected.

Recent Tweets from users JumpButton and Motwera have revealed that a new title from the Crash is on the way for mobile devices. According to the posts, the title is set to be crafted by the studio King, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard responsible for titles like Candy Crush and Temple Run. It appears that the title will be similar to Temple Run in the sense that it will be an endless runner, fitting for the classic gameplay mechanics of the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy.

“Calling all Bandicoots! Crash is back, this time on mobile! Embark on a brand new adventure with your favorite characters and put a stop to Dr Neo Cortex’s evil plan to destroy the multiverse,” reads an additional leaked description. “In this new episode, Dr Neo Cortex dispatched mutagen henchmen across the multiverse to enslave all dimensions. With the help of his spirited sister Coco, Crash must strike and bash Cortex’s minions back to their own worlds!”

Activision has yet to make an announcement on whether or not the information in the Tweets are accurate or not. However, there may be some precedence for a Crash mobile game especially following a recent investor call from Activision Blizzard. As JumpButton noted in a post, the presentation disclosed a number of revelations regarding several prominent properties, one of which suggesting several mobile spin-offs were currently in the works. It appears fans can expect one of these adaptations to be based on Crash Bandicoot, with another AAA game likely on the way.

Would a new Crash game be worth it, even if it only on mobile devices? Would you prefer to see a fresh AAA title from the franchise instead?
