Persona 5 Scramble Trailer Shows Off Phantom Thief 'Wolf' Gameplay (VIDEO)

With the impending launch of Persona 5 Scramble in Japan, publisher Atlus is turning up the heat by releasing loads of new content for Persona fans to gobble up. Late last month, Atlus announced that our beloved Phantom Thieves were getting a brand new member in the form of police investigator Zenkichi Hasegawa, who will be going by the ‘Wolf’ moniker within the Metaverse. Fast-forward to a little over a week later, and Atlus has released a new gameplay trailer showing Wolf in action.

Atlus took to its ‘atlustube’ YouTube channel to reveal a new gameplay trailer for Persona 5 Scramble. The trailer wastes no time in establishing Zenkichi Hasegawa as a new member of the Phantom Thieves, showing off his transformation immediately, after which we see what appears to be some of the events that lead to him joining the group. Check out the trailer below:

So, let’s just get this out of the way: Wolf looks a bit like a modern day Zorro and fights a bit like Devil May Cry’s Dante. Wolf runs around cutting down enemies with a greatsword, though he also has access to dual revolvers and his Persona, which utilizes chain attacks. The last scene of the trailer depicts a conversation between Ryuji and Hasegawa, which appears to make both Makoto and Ann fairly uncomfortable. I don’t speak Japanese, but, if Hasegawa is a bit of an awkward duck, he’ll fit into the Phantom Thieves perfectly.

Persona 5 Scramble is slated to release in Japan on February 20th for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The title will release in the West at a later date.
