Monster Hunter Rise Introduces Wirebugs For Aerial Movement (VIDEO)
Monster Hunter Rise is one of the next games to come from Capcom and this time it’s headed directly to the Nintendo Switch. With free-roaming action, new monsters, companion types and more – there’s a plethora of new content that’ll surprise Monster Hunter fans. In fact, Monster Hunter Rise will introduce a new combat and roaming tool called the Wirebug. See it in action below:
Monster Hunter series producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto and game director, Yasunori Ichinose, explained that the upcoming game will allow hunters to traverse a wide range of area types including cliffs and elevated platforms. “These new actions are made possible thanks to a little creature called the ‘Wirebug.’ The player carries several of these small bugs around and they allow you to climb to a variety of places that would normally be out of reach,” said Ichinose. “Additionally, there’s a great variety of actions you can perform by combining the Wirebugs with attacks. Using these unique attacks with your favorite weapon is what the combat is going to be all about.”
Akin to previous games, Monster Hunter Rise creates instances based on the quests hunters undertake. Then as soon as you embark on a quest, you are transported to an open map for “one single seamless locale.” In other words, you won’t have to endure multiple load times for the various sections of an area! Once players load into an instance, it’ll be a seamless experience.
Monster Hunter Rise is expected to launch on March 26th, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. Physical and digital pre-orders are available now.
