The second installment of Capcom’s latest spin-off series for the Monster Hunter franchise is following up on its release date this week, and the company just announced the post-launch roadmap. In it, the team presented all the free content to come this Summer and Fall. Just one week after the game releases, Capcom will be giving out a free title update for all Monster Hunter Stories 2 owners. It includes a new monstie called Palamute. Check out the details below:

• New Monsties: Hellblade Glavenus, and Boltreaver Astalos

• (Late September) New Monsties: Dreadking Rathalos, Molten Tigrex
• (Late September) Co-Op Quest Exclusive Monster: Kulve Taroth – High difficulty

• Co-Op Quest Exclusive Monster: [???] – High difficulty
• New Monsties: Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian

There’s one item shrouded in mystery, and that’s the co-op quest exclusive monster that is occupied by three consecutive question marks and marked designated with a high level of difficulty. In addition to the waves of content coming to Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin following its launch, the sequel features a compelling story that takers place in Mahana, the central village of Hakolo Island and Rathalos across the world continue are vanishing. According to the official website:

You are the grandchild of Red, whose Monstie was Guardian Ratha, the revered protector of Hakolo Island. Upon setting out to gain experience as a Rider, you encounter Ena, a Wyverian girl who once knew Red. In order to protect the egg that Guardian Ratha has entrusted her with, you decide to leave the island together. There are strange things happening everywhere. As you try to figure out what is causing these environmental abnormalities, the egg finally hatches. A flightless Rathalos with small wings bursts out of the egg.”

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin launches July 9th for PC and Nintendo Switch.
