Not only was a sizzling trailer premiered, but there was also conformation of a new Battle Royale mode called “Royale”.

FIFA 19

The future of the FIFA franchise was next with the announcement of the UEFA Champions League being added to FIFA 19. This inclusion will spread across the entirety of the game, with new content for multiplayer as well as the Alex Hunter-led story mode called “The Journey”. This big new expansion is to arrive on September 28 with more said to be on the way this summer.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

A big announcement came from Respawn Entertainment in the form of their upcoming Star Wars title, the biggest of which was its actual name: Jedi: Fallen Order. There wasn’t much in terms of reveals after that, but confirmed were the presence of lightsaber-wielding Jedi and a story taking part in a dark period in the Star Wars universe, namely between Episodes 3 and 4. We also got a release date of Holiday 2019.

Star Wars Battlefront II

While a new game from a galaxy far far away is indeed on the way, more content is also in store for the future. New Han Solo content is coming up soon, there’s the return of Extraction to look forward to, a new sandbox mode, and aerial ship dogfighting is said to be in the works. Of course, the biggest news was the inclusion of Clone Wars characters to the game, namely Count Dooku, Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan, and General Grievous.

Origin Access Premier

EA premium PC service Origin Access revealed a new “Premier” content tier that allows for a number of new games to be played. In addition to the usual access to various offers and The Vault of of over 100 games, Premier takes a page out of Xbox’s Game Pass to bring newly-released titles into the fold as well. This means EA’s biggest games like Anthem and Battlefield V will be available to play via Origin Access Premier at launch.

Unravel Two

A sequel to the yarn-comprised adventure of the EA Originals title Unravel was unveiled with the reveal of a new co-op sequel Unravel Two. While one player can play the game alone, two-player gameplay is indeed the overall focus, with friendly cooperation weaved throughout what we’ve seen of the game so far. EA Play 2018 offered a quick look at the gorgeous gameplay in the footage above. The best thing about the reveal was it’s release date, which happens to be today!

Sea of Solitude

Next was the reveal of the next EA Originals title Sea of Solitude which offered an emotional look at a game that tackles the feelings of loneliness in an interesting way. Command & Conquer: Rivals

Announced during EA’s E3 proceedings, the strategy-based Command & Conquer franchise is making a return, but to the smaller scale of mobile devices. However, it doesn’t appear to be a return in the capacity fans are used to, as Command & Conquer: Rivals sports a more simplified 1v1 combat that resembles mobile RTS games like Clash of Clans. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is entirely up to the gamer, but you can view the game for yousef in the trailer above.

Anthem

The biggest and most anticipated reveal of EA Play 2018 was BioWare’s ambitious leap into multiplayer with Anthem. Based on the cinematic footage shown off, great care seems to have been taken to deliver an alien world that dynamically changes and react to players’ presence. Discovery seems to be the main takeaway BioWare wants to leave players with, whether it be with new environments, missions, or encountering strange alien creatures. An epic gameplay trailer premiered as well, giving a new look at Javelin mech suits traversing the map and engaging in combat.
