Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Revealed At EA Play (VIDEO)

EA Play 2018 is in full swing just a few days prior to the official start of E3 2018, and already EA has revealed a brand new Battlefield V multiplayer trailer, while also announcing new titles such as Coldwater’s Unravel Two. In a very surprise announcement, the presenter took a minute to hop off the stage and chat with a developer from Respawn, who just so happened to have some exciting news about a new Star Wars game the Titanfall studio is working on.

Respawn announced that its upcoming Star Wars game would be titled Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. According to the developer, you will play as a Jedi during the “dark times,” which he clarified to be between Episodes III and IV. As many will know, this is the time period where the newly anointed Darth Vader is sent to hunt the remnants of the Jedi Order across the galaxy. Here’s the clip where the Respawn dev announces the new Star Wars title:

Unfortunately EA did not have any footage of the game available, though thankfully with anything Star Wars-related, fans have plenty to imagine for themselves. Given the subject matter, the premise certainly feels reminiscent of The Force Unleashed games, which took place during the same time period and involved – at first indirectly – the first whispers of a rebellion against the Empire. It will be interesting to see what Respawn has in mind for a story, as overall, as mentioned, it is an exceptionally dark time for anyone with the title of Jedi.
