Destiny 2’s Leviathan Raid Officially Completed – New PvP Map Rewarded (VIDEO)

Destiny 2's Leviathan Raid

Destiny 2’s Leviathan raid is here and many players are struggling as they try to figure out the mechanics every step of the way. Only a few hours after the raid launched however, a few teams were able to make considerable headway, including the first group to successfully complete the raid led by YouTuber Slayerage.

The raid began at 10 AM PDT and took The Legend Himself group a total of 6 hours to complete its many puzzles and mechanics. Bungie employees were able to watch the race to become the “World’s First” to complete the raid. It was an emotional affair at Bungie HQ’s theater as some of the game’s developers watched on with anticipation while the group proceeded to kill the final boss of the event.

In addition to Destiny 2’s Leviathan raid being conquered, the team over at Bungie has released a new PvP map into the Crucible called Emperor’s Respite and is set on the Leviathan ship itself. After beating the initial event, the raid players also gained access to another NPC in the form of a sweeper bot located near Hawthorne by a set of stairs.  This NPC is who Guardians will be turning in tokens received from the raid into for various loot. If Guardians have the World Eater quest in their inventory, they’ll also gain the next step in completing it for the Raid’s exotic weapon.

Next up for Destiny 2’s Leviathan raid is the Prestige Mode which will arrive sometime in October, just in time for players on the PC to join in on October 24th.

The first raid for Destiny 2 sounds like quite the challenge already and many players will be working hard to complete it since it went live. Have you tried your hand at the latest endgame content?
