Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series Episode 1 Is Now Live (VIDEO)
Most fans will no doubt be excited to see what Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order but that isn’t the only title set within the franchise that’s on the way. In fact, the first part of a three-part episodic VR adventure centered around Darth Vader has finally arrived with episode 1. A new trailer shows off just a little as to what players can expect when they begin their adventure through Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series – Episode 1.
While players will be able to move around, making decisions at every turn and interacting with the environment in a vast amount of ways, the developers at ILMxLAB explain that this is designed to be a unique experience for each person’s very own Star Wars adventure. That adventure begins when players step into the shoes of a smuggler who’s been forced to the planet of Mustafar, the home of Darth Vader and will be forced to take on a particular job.
You take on the role of a ne’er-do-well smuggler. As captain of the Windfall, you’ve been in your fair share of scrapes — which your droid co-pilot ZO-E3 likes to remind you of at every turn. After escaping a battle, you suddenly find yourself pulled out of hyperspace by Imperial forces, who force you down to the surface of Mustafar. There, a certain Dark Lord of the Sith is waiting for you with a very specific task…
The developers mention that it may be wise to play one of their other titles, Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire as there may be some content that crosses over. Both experiences take place somewhere between Rogue One and Revenge of the Sith but Vader Immortal will follow on the heels of the story told within Secrets of the Empire. What mysteries will await players in this new Star Wars adventure?
