REAPER HERE – Overwatch’s Favourite Edgy Grandpa Die, Die, Die’s into Street Fighter 5 With New Mod

Overwatch is everywhere. We mean everywhere. With figures, comics, animated shorts, and game cross-overs, it seems that the ever growing popularity of Blizzard’s first person shooter is showing zero signs of slowing down. It seems that Street Fighter 5 is no exception to this Overwatch craze as the PC community strikes again with another entertaining mod, this time dropping in the ever-edgy Reaper and his “back in black” self.

The mod created is a retexturing of the fighter Charlie Nash and both characters actually have a lot in common, so this mash-up is definitely fitting. Both Reaper (Gabriel Reyes) and Nash were both brought back from the dead while honing in on the enemy with some sweet teleportation capabilities. These similarities makes the marriage between these two characters within the fighting style of Street Fighter 5 blend really well. Check out the video below to see him in action:

Seeing Reaper in Nash’s shoes both in the cinematic story mode and in the fight. He’s not the only character that is available in Street Fighter 5 from Blizzard’s shooter via mods:

  • Mei
  • Sombra
  • Tracer
  • D.Va
  • Reinhardt
  • Roadhog

Being a Zenyatta main myself, I would love to see him be the next character to make its crossover debut, there’s plenty to choose from. Which hero would you like to see make the Street Fighter jump? McCree, Soldier 76, Pharah? How about a Widow Maker to spice things up?
