Japan Receives New Teaser Trailer for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard – It is Creepy, Indeed (VIDEO)

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Ethan Winters is one dedicated husband. Even 3 years after his wife’s presumed death, he still searches for her. That’s what you get to do as this man in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Japan received a new trailer a couple days ago, and though it may be short, it is definitely not sweet. This time – that is an A-OK in my book. With each trailer, teaser, and gameplay video released by Capcom, there’s always a little more footage fans can gain information from. Just a little. Take a look at it, below:

Earlier this week, Capcom released the first official TV advert, which aired beside The Walking Dead TV series. Three days later, they released the above teaser for Japanese audiences. A screaming female voice, one could presume is Winters’ wife begging for her life throughout most of the video. If it’s a recording, which it most likely is, the Baker residents obviously enjoy going back to their torture sessions and listening to them.

If I’m not mistaken, Winters’ wife says, “Don’t…don’t hurt him!” about 11 seconds in. Would that, then, imply that the Bakers’ were expecting the main character? I mean, they all pretty much sit for dinner at some point, I presume.

If the footage doesn’t tell you anything else, along with the title ‘Biohazard’, the Baker family dabbles in some form of chemical or bio-genetic experiments. Classic Resident Evil. What else can explain the blobs of tar somewhat representative of a human body? Also, what’s up with those bees surrounding the creepy woman? She can control them too, according to gameplay released from the Resident Evil YouTube channel (fifty seconds into the third gameplay video, by the way, you’re very welcome).

The soundtrack prevalent in all the videos, “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”, almost sounds like the creepy lullabies and rhymes children grew up retelling during recess. You know the old rhyme “Ring Around the Rosie”, also known as “Ring a Ring o’ Roses”, for example?

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard comes out toward the end of January, but do not fret! On the 19th of this month, just a couple days away, Capcom will be releasing a teaser for Steam users.
