Illegal Halo Reach PC Test Flight Copies Distributed Online; 343 Industries Responds
The first “Flight Test” for Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo Reach on PC is currently underway though sadly the test is extremely limited, allowing access to fewer to 1,000 Halo Insiders. Unfortunately, it seems that some illegal copies of the test are floating around the internet and the developers are stepping in to let players know it would be unwise to try to use one, lest they want to face the wrath of 343 Industries’ ban hammer.
A recent post to Halo Waypoint reveals that the company has caught wind of the illegal copies being distributed and states that anybody who downloads or plays one will be banned not just from the test but that account will also be banned from all current and future 343 titles.
It has come to our attention that the Halo Insider flight has been illegally distributed online. If you download or play this illegal copy, we have the right to ban all associated accounts and remove you from all current or future 343 programs. The Microsoft Service Agreement can be found here.”
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available for Xbox One and is set to release later this year for PC. Of course, before the game’s official release onto the PC platform players will still have plenty of chances to get into one of the many test flights that will be coming between now and then.
