Iden Versio Joins Star Wars: Battlefront II Multiplayer Hero Roster (VIDEO)

Iden Versio Joins

EA has established from very early on in the promoting of Star Wars: Battlefront II that DICE has put special attention into crafting the game’s new single-player campaign, which centers around Imperial Commander Iden Versio. With True Blood actress Janina Gavankar on hand to portray her, and a talented writing team as well, Versio is looking to be a character worthy of standing next to the classic Star Wars heroes and villains. On the other hand, fans have been curious to know whether or not Versio’s importance in the single-player mode will allow her to appear in the game’s multiplayer mode. EA has abated these worries with a new video as Iden Versio joins the Battlefront II multiplayer roster.

EA has uploaded a new video to their official EA Star Wars Twitter account seen above, showing off Iden Versio in multiplayer mode. Recent promotional trailers similar to these have been used to confirm heroes such as Darth Vader, who will also be present in Battlefront II multiplayer. Iden’s main weapon appears to be her pulse cannon, which she is shown using at close range to dispel several enemies with a single blast, or a lone enemy from a long distance with her scope.

Iden also has a few special abilities thanks to her small Imperial droid companion (image above). This droid, when perched on her back, allows her to pull up a shield for a time that will deflect blasts. Iden can also send the droid out ahead of her to stun enemies. Fans will certainly be excited to see Iden in multiplayer mode. Here’s hoping we see her in future Star Wars games and other projects in the future as well. As Iden Versio joins the Battlefront II multiplayer hero roster, what other characters do you hope to see become playable in the game? Let us know in the comments below!
