God Of War PS5 ‘Enhanced Performance’ Patch Revealed
It looks like our beloved ‘Dad of Boy’ Kratos is getting some much-deserved TLC on the PS5. Santa Monica Studio has announced that God of War (2018) will be getting an ‘Enhanced Performance Experience’ patch for the PS5 that will add 60 fps, 2160p Resolution, and more.
Sony first-party developer Santa Monica Studio took to Twitter to announce that God of War will be receiving a new patch tomorrow that enhances the game for the PS5. The free patch tacks on an extra menu option that provides PS5 players with solid 60 fps performance at 4K resolution. Those that would prefer to play the game using the “Original Performance Experience” mode – called ‘Favor Resolution on the PS4 – can still do so with 4K checkerboard-rendered resolutions, though this mode is synced to 30 fps.

PS5 owners that might’ve passed on getting God of War for the PS4 won’t necessarily be missing out, though. As revealed late last year, God of War is available to PlayStation Plus subscribers via the PlayStation Plus Collection. The only prerequisites for downloading these games is having an active PlayStation Plus subscription and owning a PS5. So, get on it!
God of War is available on PS4 and via the PS5’s backward compatibility support.
