Dead By Daylight Reveals Resident Evil Chapter (VIDEO)
It’s been about a month since a Resident Evil chapter was teased for popular asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight. That said, to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of Behaviour Interactive’s title, they’ve officially showed off what’s to come in the new chapter.
The recently released trailer shows survivor Meg running through a back alley in an area that looks ripped right out of Raccoon City. Upon reaching a corner, the wall behind her is broken down by a long tentacle, which then wraps around her neck and throws her against a car. Gunshots ring out as the tentacle retracts to reveal that the next big bid coming to Dead by Daylight is none other than Nemesis, the titular baddie from Resident Evil 3.
It was then revealed that joining Nemesis on his journey to the fog would be Jill Valentine and Leon S. Kennedy. In addition to the new killer and two survivors coming to Dead by Daylight, the Resident Evil chapter will also include a new map: the Raccoon City police station.
In addition to all of this, Nemesis comes with some rather interesting powers. For those who play Dead by Daylight, you already know the types of shenanigans that are possible, but now we’re talking about zombies. The Tyrant will have some help from the undead, who will randomly spawn on maps when Nemesis is the killer. Both the zombies and Nemesis carry the T-Virus, which can infect survivors and give them a nasty cough that will be easier to track. Needless to say, getting hit by the big baddie and his virus will surely have survivors seeing stars.
Dead by Daylight is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and new-gen consoles. The Resident Evil chapter is set to arrive on June 15th.
