Resident Evil Dead By Daylight Collab Announced, Full Reveal In May (VIDEO)

Resident Evil Dead By Daylight

The gaming industry has many beloved horror franchises, with one of the most iconic for the genre being the Resident Evil series. The franchise is set to have a big year in 2021, with several projects related to the franchise releasing. Along with the release of the next core entry in the main game series, Resident Evil Village, there are also two separate projects for Netflix also in the works. A Resident Evil Showcase event was held today to provide updates on these projects, as well as the announcement of a new crossover with Dead By Daylight.

Behaviour Interactive released the new crossover content trailer on their official Dead By Daylight YouTube channel after its premiere during the Resident Evil Showcase event. Previous franchise crossovers for Dead By Daylight have brought infamous killers and victims from other series to the game, and Resident Evil certainly has many to pick from. The teaser trailer implies this, though the killer(s) and victim(s) are not revealed. A victim of a hooking death is seen, who drops an Umbrella charm on the ground. It appears that this Umbrella charm will be an exclusive item available for the crossover chapter.

Resident Evil Dead By Daylight

This is only one of many iconic horror series to come to Dead By Daylight, including Halloween, Saw, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. There even was a Silent Hill crossover not to long ago, making this the second video game series to cross over with the game. Hopefully Resident Evil fans get a good kick out of this. Who wouldn’t want to see Mr. X storm around and chase Steve Harrington from Stranger Things?

Behaviour Interactive has promised that a full reveal of all that the crossover content will consist of will take place during the developer’s May 25th livestream for the game’s 5th anniversary, ahead of the content’s release in June.
