Call Of Duty 2020 Will Be A Black Ops Reboot, According To Rumor (VIDEO)
Infinity Ward did an excellent job with their Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot, making it dark and gritty beyond anything that the series has done before. The addition of Call of Duty: Warzone has obtained the attention of many fans and between the two, the franchise has seen a breath of fresh life over the last few months. Now a rumor has arrived claiming that the upcoming Call of Duty 2020 title will be a Black Ops reboot as well.
A YouTube video recently released by TheGamingRevolution details various leaked bits of information concerning the upcoming Call of Duty 2020 title. According to the video, Treyarch is set to release a reboot of Call of Duty: Black Ops and will be set throughout the entirety of the Cold War as well as the Vietnam War. The video also claims that the title will be much more gritty and gory, featuring a few characters from the original franchise, but with a much more realistic storyline.
TheGamingRevolution details some multiplayer information as well, indicating that the game will not feature a battle royale mode. In its place, a Black Ops-inspired mode will instead debut for Warzone, the battle royale mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In addition, Ground War is said to be making a return, as well as a variety of large-scale maps arriving for various multiplayer modes in the game. Lastly, it appears as though there will be some sort of zombie mode, but there’s very little information that TheGamingRevolution was able to reveal.
There hasn’t been confirmation about the state of Call of Duty 2020 from Treyarch or Activision, so the information in the video is worth taking with a grain of salt. Still, it would be interesting to see the Black Ops franchise get rebooted especially after the success of the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
