Call of Duty on Playstation VR No Longer Requires Infinite Warfare
As we have previously reported, the Playstation VR has been exceeding sales expectations, and has become a force to reckon with in the world of VR. However, given the short nature of most of the Playstation VR’s titles, owners of the headset will certainly welcome more games to experience, especially free ones. It now looks like VR fans have another free PS VR experience to add to their library, as Activision has announced via their official blog that the previously revealed “Jackal Assault” experience based off of the newest Call of Duty game will not require purchase of the full game.
Announcing the Jackal Assault, a Call of Duty @PlayStation VR experience, coming free for all PS4 Infinite Warfare players.

The VR experience was first announced via the tweet seen above from the official Call of Duty Twitter account, originally as a free addition to those who would purchase Infinite Warfare, the newest Call of Duty game. This new development in the release of Jackal Assault could very well be a move by Activision to promote sales of their newest CoD title to those with PS VR, which is required to play Jackal Assault, still on the fence about making the full purchase. The VR experience, which places players in the Call of Duty universe’s Jackal fighter jet, will be available for download on the Playstation VR section of the Playstation Store on November 4th. I, for one, have been gradually convincing myself to make the jump into VR with Playstation’s headset, and this free addition definitely puts me one step closer. Especially if someone can confirm that Kit Harrington’s character in Infinite Warfare shows up in Jackal Assault, so I can tell him he knows nothing.
What about you, dear reader? Would this convince you to purchase a Playstation VR, if you don’t already have one? Now that Jackal Assault is free, will you still pick up Infinite Warfare? Let us know in the comments down below.
