Burger King PlayStation 5 Teaser Seemingly Confirms PS5 Start-Up Sound (VIDEO)

Burger King PlayStation 5

The release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X coming next month have already seen the usual expected signs of new video game devices, including pre-orders overwhelming websites and attack ads and social media posts putting the competition on blast. New console releases in the 21st century have often involved some form of cross-promotion with other brands, and such seems to be the case with a new Burger King PlayStation 5 cross-promotion teaser, which may have oddly confirmed an interesting aspect of the PS5.

A new Burger King PlayStation 5 teaser video was recently released on the burger place’s official Twitter account. The video was soon thereafter shared by the official PlayStation Twitter account, with emojis indicating that gamers should keep their eyes on BK and their social media feeds. The video shows the iconic, unsettling titular Burger King peeking into a BK bag with his stoic mask face. A blue light shines from the opened bag, playing an electric tune.

Many have theorized that this sound might actually be the sound that will be heard when PlayStation 5 owners turn on their next-gen console. This is particularly interesting, as Sony has revealed very little of the PS5’s UI, outside of the first showcase (44:13 minute mark), which revealed the upcoming console.

Fans believe this video hints at a Burger King PlayStation 5 cross-promotional event, with more details supposedly coming on October 15th. Likely, Burger King will have some sort of giveaway promotion where customers can randomly win new PlayStation 5 prize packages with the purchase of BK food and drinks. Taco Bell similarly already has a cross-promotion occurring now with the Xbox Series X. Hopefully the full details are revealed soon, just so we know for sure that this isn’t teasing a new game starring the classic 90s multicultural BK Kids Club characters.
