Players have been enjoying the latest installment in the Borderlands series over the past year, but with the upcoming arrival of a new generation of consoles, some have questioned what’s going to happen with the game. Luckily, Gearbox Software has informed fans that Borderlands 3 is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Gearbox recently took to the game’s website to let everyone know that Borderlands 3 will be arriving on next-gen consoles day-and-date with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. “We’re proud to confirm that next-gen Borderlands 3 will be available day-and-date alongside the new consoles, playable at launch on the Xbox Series X / Series S on November 10 and the PlayStation 5 when it launches on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, and November 19 in the rest of the world,” reads the website.

In addition to this, Gearbox also confirmed that those who already own Borderlands 3 on the current generation of consoles will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version for free, provided it is within the same console family. Those with the physical game, of course, will need to have the next-gen console in the same family that has a disc drive to take advantage of the free upgrade. Save files and add-on content can be brought to the next-gen consoles as well.

Borderlands 3 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
