Torchlight 3 Trailer Introduces Players To The Frontier (VIDEO)
Torchlight Frontiers was announced back in 2018 as a third iteration in the Torchlight franchise, however, earlier this year, the action RPG was revealed that the game was being rebranded as simply Torchlight 3 and would be heading in a more streamlined direction than originally planned. With the game’s release date quickly approaching, developer Echtra Games shown off what players can expect to encounter while out in the frontier, from the playable characters and the various class combinations to the wilderness they’ll be exploring, and much more.
Players will begin their new adventure by selecting a Hero from one of four different classes and choosing a Relic that will be with them throughout the entirety of their journey. Over time, they’ll be able to upgrade their characters with 20 different class and relic combinations. As they adventure through the Frontier, players will also be able to bring along animal companions, some from the start of the game and others that can be collected over time. These pets have their own inventory slots that can help carry all the sweet, sweet loot that players can pick up along the way.
As Heroes progress through the game’s story, they’ll have a chance to build and upgrade their own Fort where they can show off all the accomplishments they’ve made. As players approach the end of the game’s storyline, they’ll be able to enter Fazeer’s Dun’djinn where they’ll take on challenging new content to collect more loot as well as bragging rights. Torchlight 3 is set to release on October 13th of this year for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Are you ready to champion the Frontier and become a legendary Hero?
