The Sirens are a large part of Borderlands lore, and few match up to the level of the series’ resident Firehawk, Lilith. The character is set to be played by legendary actress Cate Blanchett in the upcoming Borderlands movie, but up to this point fans haven’t really been able to see what she might look like, in any official context at least. However, a recent image has been now revealed giving fans a small tease of Blanchett’s portrayal of the character, even if it’s quite vague.

The image arrives from a recent Tweet by Jamie Lee Curtis, who is set to portray Borderlands’ doctor and Eridian expert, Tannis, and features a shot of stairs with light shining through a doorway. While most of the image is dark, light from beyond the door silhouettes the Siren and all-around psycho-killing badass, Lilith, as Curtis’ post describes. It’s a small look and one that doesn’t give fans a full picture of what the character will look like with the wonderful Blanchett in the Siren’s boots but still, it’s a pretty awesome image nonetheless.

The Borderlands movie is currently filming and has yet to release a premiere date, but so long as the creators keep delivering teases and updates on production, perhaps it will be enough to sate the hunger of fans. Both Curtis and Blanchett will be playing characters in the fascinating world of the Borderlands universe alongside Kevin Hart as the gruff and tough former soldier Roland, Jack Black as the lovable yet annoying robot Claptrap, and more.
