Hades Zagreus Figurine Announced By Good Smile

Zagreus Figurine

The indie gaming scene has allowed for smaller productions to become just as big as any first-party console exclusive title if they resonate deeply enough with fans. One recent game that was able to achieve that success has been Hades, by Supergiant Games. The colorful take on classic Greek mythology has sparked creativity in its fan community, resulting in everything from cosplays of the main characters to fan art putting Lil Nas X in the game. Official merchandise for the game has been somewhat slim so far, but now a big step forward is coming with a new Hades Zagreus figurine.

Good Smile recently announced a new Hades Zagreus figurine on its official Twitter account. The tweet comes as a part of the Won Hobby 33 update and their Popup Parade line of collectible merchandise. The company has been well known for making figures of characters from various animated franchises, including DOOM, Persona, and Hatsune Miku in the past. This latest Hades figure has received the official seal of approval from developer Supergiant Games, who had this to say about the collaboration:

“We’re really looking forward to seeing Zagreus brought to life in figurine form, especially knowing he’ll be in the capable hands of Good Smile, who’ve crafted so many of our favorite figures!! Stay tuned for more details on this project down the line.”

While an exciting announcement, it however does not give any sneak peeks as to what the Zagreus figurine might look like, even in its early prototype form. Though it is entirely possible the collectible could be modeled after the main art for Zagreus from the game’s promotional materials. Hopefully, the figure is successful so that other characters from Hades can receive the figurine treatment as well. Nyx and Charon figures would be absolutely divine.
