Batman Gotham Knights Rumor Hints At Batgirl’s Involvement (VIDEO)
Recent tweets by WB Games Montreal and the mysterious r3dakt3d account have seemingly begun a hunt for details concerning the next Batman game, thought to be called Batman Gotham Knights. The original tweet seemed to indicate the Court of Owls would play a major part in the tale, and now a new rumor has arrived hinting at Barbara Gordon as Batgirl and Dick Grayson as Robin having a big role to play in the game as well.
So far, only 2 of the 4 codes are able to be entered, but a new video claims that a fan has discovered an Easter egg that unlocks after using all 4 codes. The video suggests that upon using all 4 codes fans will be directed to an issue of Detective Comics #359. This particular issue features the debut of Batgirl, who was featured in WB Games Montreal’s Arkham Knight DLC as well as rumored to be a playable character alongside Robin in a canceled Batman Arkham Origins sequel. The sequel was also rumored to feature the Court of Owls as the big bad and it seems the developers may have reused the idea for the upcoming Batman game though how exactly remains to be seen.
The Gotham Knights comic series was originally created to delve into the various other members of the Batfamily, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see a series of games attempt to do the same. DC FanDome begins on August 22nd of this year while the end of the r3dakt3d hunt for answers ends the day prior.
