Spider-Man PS4 Collectible Statue Revealed

Spider-Man PS4 released to critical acclaim and financial success back in September. Even other developers publicly praised Insomniac Games for their superhero title. The game earned legions of fans everywhere for beautiful graphics, a compelling story, and exquisite gameplay. In a few months, they’ll be able show off their fandom with a brand new collectible statue.

On Twitter, Marvel Games VP and Creative Director Bill Rosemann announced the future release of a collectible Spider-Man statue. The statue features Spider-Man in the Advanced Suit, considered the canonical outfit for the web slinger. Rosemann stated the collectible will launch in May, but did not provide an exact date or a price.

Although the game allows players to wear a number of excellent suits, choosing the canonical look makes the most sense. It’s the only suit that pretty much every player has donned at some point. It also best represents Insomniac Games’ massive success as they designed this suit themselves.

In previous years, Spider-Man PS4 would have easily taken home numerous Game of the Year awards. Unfortunately, the smash hit has run into a pair of juggernauts in God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2. Regardless, true fans won’t stop supporting the title over a lack of trophies. Given the title’s popularity, I fully expect these collectible statues to sell out in a relatively short amount of time.

Spider-Man PS4 is available for the PS4, obviously. Even half a year later, the game’s fanbase continues to grow thanks to three DLCs (The Heist, Turf Wars, and Silver Lining). Insomniac has hinted that a sequel could be in the works, but nothing has been confirmed yet. If and when they announce a followup, we will be sure to keep you updated.
