New Destiny 2 ‘Swing’ Emote Makes Fun Of Solo Players (VIDEO)
Destiny 2 is in itself a pretty fun game, despite developer Bungie’s many bungles (see what I did there?) throughout the first year of the MMO. With the game’s Forsaken expansion right around the corner, fans have more reason than ever before to gear up and group up with their favorite Guardian squadmates to check out the bevvy of new content headed their way. But, what of solo players? It is no secret that there is an eclectic – here, have an oxymoron – group of solo players that prefer to lone wolf it rather than group up to clear content. What do they have to look forward to? Well, they get to look forward to a soul crushing new emote, that’s what, because Bungie has a sense of humor, dammit.
Announced alongside some other goodies coming to Destiny 2 by way of its Forsaken expansion, Bungie has released a video of a new ‘Swing’ emote that players can acquire in-game. The emote itself is very well-made, depicting – who else – a solo player pushing an empty swing back and forth, in the rain. To illuminate how absolutely tragic – and hilarious – the emote is, our fearless leader LiLi conjured up her own take on the video, which includes the song “All By Myself” playing in the background. I knew I couldn’t top her shenanigans, so I settled for using the forever alone meme at the top of the page instead. Check out her video below:

Beautiful, isn’t it? Y’know, in the ‘I’ll never have a friend’ kind of way. Er, anyways, those looking to get the emote for themselves will have to wait until the Forsaken expansion drops on September 4th to get their hands on it.
Destiny 2 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
