Gears 5 Will Feature Largest Campaign In The Franchise’s History
With the arrival of Gears 5 just a few short months away, fans of the longstanding series have been gobbling up all the new and juicy details The Coalition has revealed about the game thus far. The hits appear to keep on coming, as it has recently been revealed that Gears 5 will feature the largest campaign in the franchise’s history.
The news comes by way of The Coalition’s multiplayer design director Ryan Cleven, who recently sat down with the folks at Game Informer to discuss what fans can expect from the upcoming title. According to Cleven, not only will Gears 5 feature the largest campaign to date from the series, but also the largest PvE and versus modes. “Gears 5 is the largest Gears of War to date; it’s the largest campaign ever made, the largest PvE ever made, the largest versus ever made,” Cleven said.
The team at The Coalition is an extremely talented but focused team that believes in this game. They’re extremely passionate about bringing their mark, a high degree of quality, and a legacy that Gears fans will recognize.”
In regards to multiplayer, we also recently learned that the Gears 5 Versus mode will run on 60Hz servers, making the action buttery smooth as you chase each other around with chainsaws and the like. It certainly sounds like a pretty fun time.
Gears 5 releases for PC and Xbox One on September 10, 2019.
