Fortnite Teases Avengers Endgame Official Crossover Event

There’s a little movie coming out in a few days, a small indie production that a few people may have heard of titled Avengers Endgame. Okay. Jokes aside, the upcoming follow-up to last year’s ‘Infinity War’ is actually one of the most anticipated films of the year, finally allowing fans to see what happened after Thanos let loose his snap of doom upon the universe. The film’s extremely monumental release looks to have attracted the likes of Fortnite, as the battle royale title has now teased an official themed event with the Marvel film.

Announced over Twitter, the official Fortnite account posted the image of one of the game’s characters wielding Captain America’s iconic shield, with a very prominent Avengers “A” logo in the background. The caption itself is even more telling, utilizing the hashtag #FortniteXAvengers and the “Whatever it takes” quote from one of the movie’s most recent trailers.

Those who’ve followed Fortnite for a small stretch of time likely aren’t surprised about this team-up with Marvel, especially following last year’s inclusion of Thanos as a playable character as well as a snappy Infinity Gauntlet event. This year’s crossover was teased a bit beforehand as well, with Epic Games’ Donald Mustard laying down a much more subtle tease earlier in the month. It’s currently unknown what the event might entail this time around, but we’ll likely know more by the teased date of April 25th; the day before Avengers Endgame hits theaters.

Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
