Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Trailer Is Green With Envy (VIDEO)
The streaming wars have certainly gotten more chaotic, as challengers have arisen to shake up the stronghold Netflix has had on the streaming industry for much of the past decade. One of the strongest competitors has been Disney Plus, which has gotten a major leg up on the competition with exclusive Star Wars and Marvel films and television series. One of the many original Marvel shows confirmed for Disney Plus this year has been a She-Hulk adaptation. Now, Marvel has released the first full-length She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer, and the series is looking to be a giant green step forward.
Marvel Entertainment released the new She-Hulk: Attorney At Law trailer on their official YouTube channel. The trailer begins with some voiceover narration by Bruce Banner, with Mark Ruffalo confirmed to be reprising his role. The trailer then shifts its focus to Jennifer Walters, a lawyer portrayed by Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany. Walters works for a prestigious law firm starting a new division focused on representing individuals with supernatural or enhanced abilities. One such client is confirmed to be Emil Blonsky, with Tim Roth reprising his role from the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie.
While the She-Hulk: Attorney At Law trailer does not specifically mention it, the series is expected to follow the character’s origins from the comics, which sees Jennifer transform into the green behemoth after getting a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner. Adding to this theory, the Smart version of Hulk is seen running tests and trying to help Jennifer control her emotions and understand her enhanced strength as She-Hulk. Several shots then show She-Hulk in different environments, demonstrating that she does have control of her actions like Banner had accomplished after merging with the Hulk in Avengers: Endgame.
One thing that is very apparent in the She-Hulk: Attorney At Law trailer is its unique tone. The humor of Walters in her She-Hulk form and how it affects her career and social life as an adult seems to be a big focus of the series, involving a bit more mature humor compared to other Marvel shows like Hawkeye or WandaVision. Just how far Marvel plans to push this approach will be known when She-Hulk premieres on August 17th on Disney Plus. I have a feeling we will actually like her when she’s angry.
