Godfall Confirmed As A Six-Month PS5 Console Exclusive
Many gamers know that Sony goes pretty hard in regards to snagging console exclusives, especially if you’re one of the many folks still waiting for an Xbox One port of the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Thankfully it appears that even Sony has its limits, as it’s been revealed that Godfall, one of the PS5’s launch titles, will only be a console exclusive for a short 6-month period.
This news comes by way of the official PS5 launch trailer for Godfall, which debuted yesterday. Within the trailer towards the end, a small bit of text can be read that states that the game is also available on PC, though it’s “not available on other consoles until at least 5/12/21.” The text can be seen in the below trailer:
This of course does not mean that Godfall will be launching on say May 15th 2021 for the Xbox Series X. Still, at least those uninterested in the PS5 now have a vague estimation of when they can start getting excited to try out Godfall for themselves. Publisher Gearbox Software has historically not been one to willingly limit its platform reach for its games (the Borderlands series being a prime example), so chances are Xbox players can look forward to getting their hands on Godfall towards the middle of next year.
Godfall is slated to release on November 12th for PC and PS5.
