WoW Expansion Hinted As 8.0 Hits Beta Test Servers – World Of Warcraft Makin’ Moves?

World of Warcraft had its initial release in 2004 and has since put out multiple expansions over the years continuing to provide fans with new content even through today. The current expansion, Legion, is getting close to an end leaving the future open for something new. Blizzard fans continue to find hints as to what’s to come though unfortunately there’s not much information to go on as to what to expect next. Sharp-eyed fans were able to catch some recent changes to the game’s Beta Region servers which may indicate that the next WoW expansion is closer than many players thought.

WoW Expansion

The changes in question were an update to patch 8.0. World of Warcraft’s patch designations up to now have clearly indicated which expansion they were currently working on. For example, the 6.0 patches denoted the Warlords of Dreanor expansion and 7.0 for Legion. With that in mind, many fans believe the 8.0 patch, which was quickly taken down by Blizzard, is most likely that of the game’s next big content boost. After all, any number prior to the decimal has always indicated large content: i.e. expansions. This would line up with recent teases by Blizzard and the coming of BlizzCon 2017 which will see major announcements for both Overwatch and World of Warcraft.

BlizzCon 2017 runs on November 3rd and 4th of this year at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Don’t Feed the Gamers will be there live front and center to let WoW fans know what is on the way. Will you be attending this year? There are plenty of stories to tell within the World of Warcraft universe, what tales would you like to see told?
