If you’ve checked out World of Warcraft: Shadowlands’ collector’s edition and looking forward to see more of what’s to come, Blizzard revealed a brand new trailer for the upcoming expansion alongside an official release date. Coming this October, players will witness souls being “wrongfully cast into the eternal darkness.” Forge a pact with the Covenant to restore balance to the world. Check out the trailer below:

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands makes its global launch on October 26th for the Americas and on October 27th for Europe and Asia, which is just in time for spooky season! There are three different digital editions available for pre-purchase right now – Base, Heroic, and Epic. While the base will grant players the expansion, the heroic edition tacks on a character boost, an Enscorcelled Everwyrm mount, and access to a questline that grants players the Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmogrification set.

The Epic edition contains all Heroic items along with an Anime Wyrmling pet, Wraithchill cosmetic weapon effect, Eternal Traveler’s Hearthstone, and 30 days of game time.

In addition to the release date for the game’s latest expansion, Blizzard revealed the first of several animated shorts called Shadowlands Afterlives – Bastion. Uther the Lightbringer, Paladin of the Silver hand passes into the afterlife and becomes the charge of Devos, a paragon of Bastion, and it is under her care that he sought justice once and for all. After Bastion comes Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, and Revendreth when they release on September 3rd, September 10th, and September 17th respectively.
