DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part One Gameplay Revealed (VIDEO)

DOOM Eternal The Ancient Gods Part One Gameplay ONL Gamescom

Bethesda and id Software revealed the upcoming expansion for DOOM Eternal not too long ago, but it was merely a tease for fans. That said, Opening Night Live has arrived, and a gameplay trailer for The Ancient Gods: Part One has been revealed.

During the presentation to kick off the Gamescom festivities, a new video shows off gameplay from the inbound expansion for DOOM Eternal. The Slayer is back for more bloody action as the balance of everything has now been thrown out of whack. Check it out for yourself in the trailer below:

The Ancient Gods: Part One will pick right back up where the events in DOOM Eternal left off. An imbalance in power is now present, which means instead of dealing with the normal hellish gang, the Slayer will be taking his talents to the opposite end of the spectrum to dole out some justice on unsuspecting heavenly entities.

“Your war is not over… slaying the Khan Maykr left an imbalance of power that threatens all of creation,” reads the official description for the DOOM Eternal expansion. “With the aid of an old ally, battle your way back to Urdak and decide the fate of the cosmos. Your mission is now your own.”

DOOM Eternal is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch port set to arrive at some point in the future. As for The Ancient Gods: Part One, the expansion will be arriving on October 20th.
