Halo Infinite Release Date Revealed With New Trailer (VIDEO)
With the newest generation of gaming hardware having made its debut last year with the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the promise of big new games excited many. Perhaps no singular title excited potential Xbox Series X users as much as Halo Infinite, which suggested it would bring the franchise to life with the power of the new device. However, several delays necessitated pushing the Halo Infinite release date away from its initially expected launch alongside the Xbox Series X. Now, after much waiting, Microsoft has finally confirmed the game’s release date, along with a new multiplayer trailer for the game.
Microsoft released the new Halo Infinite multiplayer cinematic trailer on their official Xbox YouTube channel today, as a part of Gamescom 2021’s online digital event. The cinematic trailer focuses on Commander Laurette Agryna, switching between a flashback to a younger point in her life on the streets and the present day, where she commands some Spartan recruits. The flashback scenes show her nearly being spotted and subdued by enemies before being rescued by a team of armor-clad Spartans. The present-day scenes show that her rescue by the Spartans has inspired her to join their ranks and train soldiers at the Academy. After these scenes, the Halo Infinite release date is at last revealed.
The trailer confirms that the Halo Infinite release date is now set to fall on December 8th, 2021. The trailer also reiterates that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode will be free-to-play, with these scenes tying into the first season of the mode. Supposedly, the Academy will serve as the multiplayer main hub and will be related somehow to the game’s main campaign. At long last, Halo Infinite is confirmed to only be four months away, and even when that day arrives, the fight is just beginning.
