Watch The Witcher Netflix Series SDCC Panel Right Here (VIDEO)
San Diego Comic-Con 2019 has officially come and gone, though not without delivering the first full length trailer for Netflix’s The Witcher series. The new footage was revealed during the official panel for the adaptation, which was attended by Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Freya Allan (Ciri), Anya Chalotra (Yennifer), and the showrunner herself, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. So, without further ado, the entire SDCC panel can be seen below:
Questions were flying all over the place during The Witcher panel, and for good reason. Netflix is pouring a whole lot of time, effort, and star power into making the series a successful one, and the lack of actual footage save for Cavill’s screen test has driven people absolutely bonkers. Thankfully all of that changed during the panel, which showed off new footage of the series that gave us our first real look at Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Those that have yet to see it can easily do so right here.
As the presumed late 2019 release window approaches, we are starting to piece together the story of The Witcher series. The tagline read: “The Witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.” Here’s hoping Netflix will release more information – and hopefully a solid release date – soon!
