Netflix’s The Witcher Trailer Revealed At SDCC (VIDEO)

The Witcher Netflix Showrunner Reveals Why The Series Will "Never" Pull From The Games

While there have been many teases of Netflix’s upcoming The Witcher series, as far as actual footage is concerned fans haven’t been graced with much, with the exception of the occasional behind the scenes shot. While the initial reaction to the sight of Henry Cavill sporting silver hair was initially mixed, perhaps a look at the character in action might be just what fans need to be swayed in favor of the upcoming show and its extraordinary cast. Thankfully, a new trailer has arrived showing off glimpses at various characters, monster, and the world itself.

Today at San Diego Comic-Con, Netflix revealed the new trailer during their official panel for The Witcher. Thanks to the new footage, it is even more clear now that the series is going to follow alongside the books rather than the popular video game series. Another interesting detail is shown in a clip that features Yennefer with a hunched back and disfigured face, calling back to an early description of the character from the books.

There’s a lot to take in, as quite a lot is revealed during the trailer, including glimpses of various monsters and some of the other iconic characters from the books. It’ll be interesting to see what’s to come in the future. Netflix’s The Witcher has yet to receive an official release date, however it is projected to arrive sometime later this year.
